AVD Fire Ltd has developed a new high-performance, reusable fire blanket designed specifically for lithium-ion battery fires. These blankets are built to withstand extreme temperatures over 1000°C and provide added protection against debris and shrapnel often released during battery explosions. Constructed with fireproof technical fabrics and reinforced multi-layered edges, each blanket includes fire-resistant stitching, handling loops, and eyelets for secure placement or suspension during emergency use.

The blankets use advanced silica glass fibers coated with vermiculite-based, flame-deflective materials and a protective silicone layer, ensuring high thermal resistance and durability. They remain structurally intact for several hours at 1000°C and up to 30 minutes at 1200°C, only becoming brittle at 1300–1500°C. With this level of protection, AVD Fire Blankets offer a dependable fire safety solution for managing the unique risks posed by lithium-ion battery fires.
