The AVD Fire Suppression Kit is designed for the effective control and containment of lithium-ion battery incidents. The fire-resistant bag uses technical fabrics that withstand temperatures up to 1832°F (1000°C). It provides passive protection to suppress, control, and safely remove devices that have entered thermal runaway. Typical risks include mobile phones, tablets, laptops, and small tools/equipment.

Typical Applications: Mobile phones and tablets; laptops and portable computers; cordless power tools and battery packs; small e-scooter or e-bike battery modules; drones and camera equipment. A laptop battery ignites at the office; after extinguishment, the device is sealed in the bag to prevent re-ignition and limit smoke. A phone overheats during a flight; the crew contain the cooled device in the bag until landing.

How to Use: If required, first knock down visible flames with an appropriate extinguisher. Put on the included gloves and glasses. Place the compromised device or battery pack into the fire-resistant bag and seal it fully. Store the sealed bag in a safe, ventilated area until the device can be removed and disposed of according to local regulations.

Important Notes: This kit provides post-fire containment and safer removal; it does not replace an extinguisher for initial flame knockdown. Lithium-ion cells can re-ignite or off-gas after initial extinguishment; containment helps reduce secondary risk. Always follow local rules for handling and disposal of damaged lithium-ion batteries.
